Get to the Greek - Paniyiri Greek Festival, that is

Noosa Food and Wine Festival

Greece is one of the most splendid places on Earth. Its culture has existed for thousands of years, and is perhaps one of the world's most fascinatingly vibrant. As a result, Greece has produced a wide range of glorious food dishes that are to die for, and the people are well-known for their fun-loving nature.

If you love everything Greek like we do, there's a place you need to book holiday accommodation for this year: Brisbane.

Paniyiri Greek Festival

Brisbane's Paniyiri Greek Festival has been around since 1976, when a group of local Greeks decided they wanted to show the city what made their culture so awesome. Now, three decades later, the event is still going strong, attracting up to 50,000 visitors from all over the country who are interested in experiencing a little exotic European flair.

The 2015 edition of Paniyiri is being held by the some 25,000-strong Greek community in South Brisbane's Musgrave Park. You can easily get to this location if you are staying at the nearby Mantra South Bank hotel, as it is within 10-minute's walking distance. Alternatively, the CBD can be found just over the bridge to the north, about 10 minutes by car.

"If you have an interest in Greek food and fun, Brisbane's annual Paniyiri Festival is the place to be. Is your holiday accommodation booked and ready for you?"

What to do at Paniyiri
